2012 Transvulcania
This weekend took place the Transvulcania’s 4th edition. The Julbo athletes Maud Gobert and Ian Sharman were on the starting line.
Transvulcania is a beautiful race in the Canary Islands of 73 kms. In tough conditions - hot, fairly humid, reported temperatures hit the mid-90s in Fahrenheit - Ian, despite dehydration causing him some issues, finished 16th and Maud 36th, by reaching the 6th place in the ladies' race.

The Basque athlete Zigor Iturrieta joins the Julbo Trail Team
Zigor Iturrieta, from the Basque Country, 3rd at the UTMB® in 2010, and winner of some prestigious races such as Transgrancanaria and Trail of Sancy in 2011, joins the Julbo Team this year. After many years spent in climbing, practising duathlons and triathlons, he started the trail running only 4 years ago! Few questions to get to know him.
Zigor, how would you describe yourself?
I'm someone very happy, adventurous, with the main default to say the things. And when I have something in my mind, I will do anything to do it! I am very stubborn, like all the people coming form the Basque Country! ;)
Why did you decide to join the Julbo Team?
I decided to join the Julbo Team for two main reasons: firstable because for me, it's a brand very famous around the world and the products are the best that you can find on the market today. And secondly, improving and being part of the product development to make the best gear for trail running, is the most important thing to me.
What have you planned to do this year (trail races...)?
On May, 18th, I will run in Japan for the ultra-trail of Mont Fuji (160 km), on June, 29th, I'll be in the Italian Dolomites (120 km), at the end of august at the UTMB® (166 km) and to end the year: the TNF in San Francisco (80 km). But thanks to Julbo, I'd like to teach to the world the beauty of our sport and our passion: the trail running.
So we'll see him soon in Japan!

11 days off for Franck Cammas and his crew to get some rest and 11 days for the team on land to fix the boat and get it ready for the next leg! Not much time to discover a new culture, but they will make the most of it.

Testers Wanted - Derby de la Meije
On the occasion of our partnership with the “Derby de la Meije”, we organized a Test Day for our fans on facebook in real conditions the day before the race (April, 6th).
Anne-Marie Flammersfeld, unbeaten in the driest desert
After a race of 29hrs and 47mins, athlete Julbo Anne-Marie Flammersfeld won the 1st leg of the 4 races in desert that makes her the best woman of the Atacama crossing.
