Julbo with Franck Cammas in the Heart of The Volvo Ocean Race

Franck Cammas and his team are about to start the Volvo Ocean race with all our support.

Franck Cammas holds the most records in multihull sailing: 6 ORMA World Championships, three times winner of the Transat Jacques Vabre,  holder of the round-the-world record for team sailing (Jules Verne Trophy) in 2010 on board the maxi trimaran Groupama 3, winner of the Route du Rhum 2010… His list of achievements is as illustrious as it is varied: from the match race to the non-stop round-the-world race. Talented on the waves and unwavering on land, he always surrounds himself with the best and keeps abreast of technological developments. He is just as demanding when it comes to his eyesight and he has worked in close collaboration with Julbo for over 10 years. “I developed the Octopus lenses with Julbo. Definitely one of the major innovations in as vital a piece of equipment as eyewear!” comments Franck Cammas.

So it is only natural for Julbo to continue its involvement with and support for Franck Cammas and his whole team on board Groupama 4 during the Volvo Ocean Race, which is due to set off on 29 October.
 
They will all have the Pipeline sunglasses, fitted with Octopus polarized photochromic lenses.
