Polarizing polycarbonate lenses category 3
Polarizing technology
When light rays hit a flat surface (car windscreen, water, snow etc, asphalt etc.) they spread out in all directions.
Julbo POLARIZED lenses are created by overmoulding two pieces of polycarbonate lens onto a polarising film. The polarising filter molecules are orientated to suppress light reflection.
Julbo POLARIZED lenses eliminate dazzle, they significantly increase visual sharpness (better definition of shapes and colours), and eliminate discomfort and tiredness.
In 1998, Julbo was the first brand to launch POLARIZED polycarbonate lenses. This technology rapidly became the standard for the watersports environment.

POLARIZING technology: When light rays hit a flat surface (water, snow etc.) they spread out in all directions.
CAMELEON lenses suppress this glare, increase visual sharpness, (better definition of colours, shapes and contrasts) and eliminate discomfort and tiredness in bright sunshine.
PHOTOCHROMIC technology: The CAMELEON lens alternates between categories 3 and 4. It darkens or lightens depending on the intensity of the light.
